Anyaa H'redulla, The Perseverer, has been on a conscious spiritual path for more than twenty years and is the author of Joy Makers: My Tools for Self-Empowerment available at http://www.anyaahredulla.com where she also shares reflections on many of her personal challenges, and offers powerful, practical tools in the areas of Personal Empowerment, Physical Empowerment, Economic Empowerment and Spiritual Empowerment.

For many years I struggled with what some call prosperity consciousness. Despite all my efforts, hard work, dedication, and fervent desire to change my circumstances, wealth, affluence and worldly success eluded me.

I have been on a spiritual journey for more than twenty years and during that time, I have been exposed to numerous 'techniques' for reversing my situation, but try as I may, nothing seemed to work. A shortage of money with all its attendant woes continued to dog me. Maybe I'm a slow learner or something, because it really has been a struggle for me to 'get it'!

In recent years, much has been written about the Law of Attraction. Even prior to The Secret DVD, I studied Wallace Wattles' 1910 book The Science of Getting Rich (which was the origin of The Secret movie). Faithfully I read it over and over, practicing his recommendations on a daily basis. Nothing ever changed.

I followed other 'get rich' programs such as Stuart Lichtman's How To Get Lots of Money For Anything Fast and was successful in using his techniques to write a book in three weeks, but I had very limited success with anything of a monetary nature.

When The Secret DVD was released, I enthusiastically watched it dozens of times and felt confident that this was the answer to my prayers. It wasn't.

Many articles, interviews and books came out around the same time and I devoured them all hoping that one of them would provide me with the missing key to unlock prosperity for me. The process has spanned several years.

There have been ahas and insights along the way, such as the time Dr. Hew Len told me at a Ho'oponopono course that I had made many, many vows of poverty in my life - thousands, in fact - and this was what held me back.

Shortly afterwards, I had a recollection of myself as a monk who had relinquished all his worldly goods to 'find God.' Was this why I had made so many vows of poverty? I believe so. Thank goodness I had Ho'oponopono to help me heal that memory!

Gradually, as I practiced Ho'oponopono daily, my situation began to improve... very, very slightly. There were other milestones, but a major breakthrough came when I listened to an MP3 from a wonderful, enlightened individual by the name of Marcia Martin. In about 30 minutes, she was able to clarify the process of creation better than anyone had ever done before... for me anyway. As I said, I'm a slow learner :).

As you may have heard, there is never any time except Now. The future doesn't exist except in our thoughts about it. The past doesn't exist except as memories. The common denominator is, of course, our mind. And we can only access our thoughts and memories Now. All we have is this present moment and what we do with it is crucial in the creation process.

If your thoughts are focused on memories and what has been, you will continue to manifest the experiences you have always experienced. If you think about the future wishing for this or that, it will always be in the future.

In order to have all that you desire, you must BE what you desire and you must BE 'that' in this present moment. If you wish to be a dancer, she says, you can't think about all the stuff you'll need to DO in order to be a dancer, you must think and act as if you are already a dancer... IN YOUR MIND.

Marcia also pointed out that our ability to describe memories are far, far better than our ability to describe our future - mostly because we fear it. Ask someone to tell you about a past relationship, she said, and they'll go into infinite detail. Ask them to tell you about the perfect relationship they yearn for and they'll have a hard time coming up with two or even three sketchy details.

Isn't that sad?

So, clue number one about creating what you want is to BE what you want... in your mind... NOW. Clue number two is to start thinking about and describing your desire in as much detail as possible: Drive the car, live in the house, be in the relationship, and experience every nuance... in your mind NOW.

Abraham Hicks tells us every prayer and every request is ALWAYS answered. ALWAYS. But only when you feel it and believe it Now will it become your reality in the future.

You can only do it Now!
