NB: Some Reflections are works in progress (as is this website), so please have a little patience and return later if the subject interests you :).

This is the area where I would like to share reflections about my own life plus a few insights I've gleaned from various books I've read. I've been an avid reader since I was a child and recollect my mother often saying, "Got your head in a book again?" after she'd called me countless times without me hearing her!

There were a few years when I didn't read anything simply because I knew I'd never get anything else done! With two young children to care for, a husband, my eldest daughter, four step-children, two dogs, three cats, two horses and a large home, my days were full and I couldn't afford the luxury of spending time with a book.

Eventually time solved that problem (as it seems to do quite often) and I was able to get back to my passion. But this time, however, I became much more interested in non-fiction than fiction.

The very first book I read after my bookless period, was one I borrowed from a friend called Living In The Light: A Guide to Personal Power and Planetary Transformation by Shakti Gawain. That little book forever changed the way I looked at my life - and the world around me.

My second marriage had unexpectedly come to an end and I was ripe for change. I had many unanswered questions about many things and Living In The Light made so much sense to me at that time in my life. It provided the answers I was searching for... at least some of them!

Unfortunately, my journey was only just beginning and I was naive. I discovered that you never have all the answers. As soon as I think I have something clear in my mind and understand it, something else crops up. I've discovered personally there is no destination; there is no time when you know all that you think you need to know. There's just a series of revelations along the exploratory trail.

I shall be forever grateful to that little book as it started me on the Path of the Seeker. My life changed in ways I could never have imagined and it all began with a book!

Actually, it probably started with a question... or perhaps it was Transcendental Meditation... or... there was lots going on around that time and the truth is, I really don't know if it was even one single event that sparked my new way of thinking and living! All I know is that my life changed... I changed. I felt so different that I even changed my name

Many people go through dramatic shifts in their life for all sorts of reasons. Not everyone has an opportunity to share those changes with others and we often think we're different, that nobody understands what we're going through or have been through. By sharing some of my own experiences, I'm hoping that you will recognize more of yourself and realize we are not so different.

My plan is to add to these reflections as time allows, much like a blog I guess, and you will have an opportunity to learn more and more about me as time progresses. There have been many experiences, many revelations, and many books since my journey began and I've learned something from each. Perhaps they will help you gain more awareness! I certainly hope so.

As an aid to organizing these reflections, I've created separate pages for each title as you will see in the list above. Click on any subject of interest to read more.
